With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Mernick manages ICF's support of the U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR Residential, Product Labeling, and Commercial and Industrial Programs and the EPA’s new Clean Energy Initiative. He is also supports numerous regional, state and utility clients. His clients include: Eversource (NSTAR); the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative; National Grid; New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA); Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, Inc. (NEEP); Northeast Utilities; Consolidated Edison of New York; the Joint Management Committee, GasNetworks, and the New Jersey Clean Energy Fund.
Mr. Mernick was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) and serves in an advisory capacity to the Northeast Energy Efficiency Council. He serves on the Policy Committee for the Alliance to Save Energy. He is Past-President of the Northeast Chapter of the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP), and is in his third term on the Board of Directors of AESP, where he currently serves as Secretary.
Before joining ICF, Mr. Mernick worked as a Program Manager with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where he was responsible for all statutorily mandated energy assistance programs within several Region One states. He holds an M.P.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Geography and Marine Affairs.
