Improving Energy Affordability for Customers Through Efficiency and Innovation

RESTON, Va., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ICF (NASDAQ: ICFI), a leading global solutions and technology provider, was recently selected for a $20 million recompete contract to continue serving as the lead implementer for an energy efficiency contract supporting a consortium of Northeast utilities and service providers. The contract, which was awarded in the second quarter of 2026, includes a portfolio of new construction, renovation and multifamily energy efficiency and electrification programs which are among the nation's largest and most successful residential energy efficiency and market transformation initiatives.

The programs will accelerate the adoption of high-performance building practices that lower energy costs for customers while strengthening grid reliability.

ICF's local team will deliver end-to-end program implementation through technology-enabled services, including workforce development, training, incentive processing and data reporting and analysis. ICF will also leverage ICF Sightline®, one of the industry's most trusted utility customer program platforms for analytics and insights, to pinpoint where and when energy demand is highest, predict ways to reduce grid stress and personalize energy management programs for individual customers.

"The consortium is helping builders, developers and homeowners make energy efficiency and electrification part of residential construction from the start," said Kyle Wiggins, senior vice president for energy, environment and infrastructure at ICF. "We're proud to bring the local market expertise, proven implementation model and customer insights needed to help consortium members scale customer programs and use them as a strategic grid asset and deliver more affordable, reliable energy to meet growing demand."

For nearly two decades, ICF has helped shape the evolution of the consortium's residential new construction program, including designing and implementing major program enhancements, launching innovative multifamily and renovation offerings, and helping build one of the strongest residential energy efficiency markets in the country.

ICF delivers hundreds of energy efficiency, electrification and demand management programs for leading North American utilities serving residential, commercial and small business customers. The company helps clients design and implement cost-effective programs that maximize energy savings to customers and system benefits to utilities.
