Public Sector Programs Will Help Lower Energy Costs and Strengthen Grid Reliability Across Southern California
RESTON, Va., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ICF (NASDAQ: ICFI), a leading global solutions and technology provider, was recently awarded two new, multiyear work orders under the County of Los Angeles Energy Support Services Master Agreement to serve as one of three implementers supporting the Southern California Regional Energy Network's (SoCalREN) public sector energy efficiency programs. The work orders, which were awarded in early August 2026, have a combined ceiling value of approximately $70 million, with funding subject to the county's decision to exercise renewal options.
These new work orders expand ICF's scope under the master agreement, which also includes delivery of the county's residential and agricultural portfolios.
ICF will provide end-to-end program implementation services across SoCalREN's expansive service territory, including engineering, data-driven customer and project targeting, marketing and engagement, financing, and construction management support. The work will assist public agencies in identifying, funding and implementing energy efficiency and distributed energy resource projects designed to lower energy costs, strengthen resilience and support grid reliability.
ICF will combine its deep energy program delivery expertise and strong local partner network with leading-edge technologies, including ICF Sightline®, one of the industry's most trusted utility customer program platforms for analytics and insights, to pinpoint where and when energy demand is highest, predict ways to reduce grid stress and deliver targeted strategies to communities with the greatest needs.
"Public agencies play a critical role in strengthening grid reliability," said Kyle Wiggins, ICF senior vice president for energy, environment and infrastructure. "For more than a decade, we have supported SoCalREN in expanding access to affordable energy solutions, launching four new public sector programs and nearly doubling the portfolio's annual energy savings. We look forward to building on that momentum to expand participation, accelerate high-impact projects and deliver measurable outcomes across the communities they serve."
ICF delivers hundreds of energy efficiency, electrification and demand management programs for leading North American utilities serving residential, commercial and small business customers. The company helps clients design and implement cost-effective programs to enable energy savings for customers and system benefits to utilities.
