Eva Hsu has more than 10 years of experience in the transportation industry and currently supports the smart mobility sector. Her expertise includes looking at ways that shared mobility, mobility on demand, active transportation and demand management (ATDM), and transportation systems management and operations are changing the transportation landscape at the local, state, regional, and federal level.
She works with clients to develop policies and strategies to incorporate these emerging mobility topics into existing planning and operations efforts, especially existing transportation demand management (TDM) programs. Her work helps clients implement behavior-change programs, address air quality impacts, and mitigate congestion from everyday commutes, construction zones, and special events. She has helped municipalities explore the intersection of technology and transportation by looking at how the Internet of Things, connected and autonomous vehicles, fare integration, etc. might impact how people get around in the future.
Ms. Hsu supports the New York State Department of Transportation 511NY Rideshare program, a statewide TDM and ATDM program aimed at providing multimodal transportation improvements to travelers through a combination of improved integration between TDM and transportation operations and useful communication programs. She is a member of the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) Mid-Atlantic chapter and has served on the chapter board as Secretary and Vice President. In 2016, she was selected as one of the “top 40 under 40” TDM professionals in the world by ACT.
