We are internationally recognized for our leadership in carbon accounting, greenhouse gas reduction, vulnerability assessment, and resilience planning.
Our experts literally wrote the book on how to account for carbon, and our team members have trained hundreds of experts in dozens of countries and in all 50 states to measure and manage carbon emissions. We’ve worked with scores of city, state, international, and commercial clients to inventory and take actions to reduce their emissions and build their resilience to climate and extreme weather.
We supported the first U.S. greenhouse gas inventory and developed the Clean Energy Emission Reduction (CLEER) Tool to help countries around the world calculate emissions avoided from clean energy activities. We also developed the first U.S. federal agency infrastructure resilience framework and supported the largest climate risk screening effort ever undertaken by any organization—by developing a set of climate risk screening tools to help the World Bank protect its investments.
Our clients understand that we are dedicated to finding solutions that support their organization’s mission into the future, backed by research and supported by objective analysis. We are strategic doers who provide practical advice and implementation, offering our clients complete solutions to their climate-related challenges.
ICF delivers state-of-the-art greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and mitigation services to clients looking to develop and implement cost-effective strategies to reduce emissions and transition to cleaner technologies.
ICF applies its award-winning experience to help organizations achieve their objectives in the face of risks posed by extreme weather and climate change. We apply the deep sectoral and geographic knowledge of the world’s largest team of climate professionals to today's complex resilience challenges. ICF leverages the knowledge gained from our decades of work pioneering science-based approaches to ensure that our clients thrive in a future that is fundamentally different than the past.
ICF helps organizations involved in regulatory and policy development understand complex issues, measure impact, and identify the best paths forward.
ICF helps utilities, manufacturers, and other emissions-intensive companies develop smart emissions allowance and offset market strategies in an uncertain regulatory environment.
