Maurice is a seasoned professional and manager working in the area of home affairs and justice. As an experienced project manager he has taken on assignments for a number of different EU public clients. He has extensive knowledge of applying quantitative and qualitative analyses and in the multi-lingual and multi-faceted projects he is involved in uses a wide range of different tools and methods.
He has worked on a significant number of different evaluations, feasibility studies, impact assessments, and other studies for the European Commission and its Agencies, and has led and (co-)authored numerous reports and papers for the Radicalisation Awareness Network and European Migration Network. Key projects include studies on transport security, civil protection, border control and visa policies, radicalisation and terrorism financing, legal migration, asylum and irregular migration, and consumer protection.
Continuously striving to learn on the job, Maurice has followed a ©PMBOK project management course. He is a MSc in Human Geography, a BA in Political Science and has completed minors in European Studies and Conflict Studies. He speaks English, Dutch (mother tongue), Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German.
