Bill Collins brings more than 30 years of aviation, aerospace, airline, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) industry experience predominantly in executive-level industry positions. He is co-developing the MRO practice and his experience spans all major market segments, including commercial air transport, business and general aviation, and military air transport from the airline, aerospace original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and MRO perspectives. His functional focus has been strategic planning, process improvement, industrial marketing and due diligence.
Prior to joining ICF, Bill was Senior Vice President of Flight and Sustainment for Bristow Group, the largest global aviation transportation company serving the oil and gas markets around the world. Prior to Bristow, he was Corporate Vice President of Technical Operations with American Airlines where he oversaw the sustainment of 1,000 commercial aircraft globally and developed world class operational performance in efficiency, productivity, turn-around-time, span, inventory and supplier management in aircraft engines, airframe, components, landing gear, interiors, and IFE. Prior to American Airlines, Bill was Vice President of Sales and Operations with General Electric Aviation where he led seven OEM and sustainment businesses in air products, avionics, structures, primary and secondary electrical power, and the Unison Industries subsidiary. Bill began his career with Texas Instruments where he designed, developed and manufactured integrated circuits for commercial, military, and space use. Bill has keynoted and presented at several industry events and conferences and is frequently called on as a subject matter expert panelist.
Mr. Collins holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
