Almina works on different projects with a focus on migration issues for the European Commission and its agencies. She is also a visiting lecturer in the fields of employment and migration as well as Diversity Management at the University of Graz (Austria). Almina has over 7 years of professional experience and her main research interests are linked to legal migration more specifically on employment and integration of migrants, gender and social inclusion.
Prior to joining ICF, Almina completed a traineeship at the European Commission Directorate General for Research and Innovation, where she was mainly working on issues related to labour market integration of migrants.
Almina holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Graz (Austria) where she studied the interplay between highly-skilled migration and employment in multinational organisations in South-Eastern Europe.
