Tessa Artruc is an engineer-in-training specializing in ecosystem restoration and water resources engineering. With degrees from the University of New Hampshire and Oregon State University, she applies her expertise in fluvial geomorphology and hydrology to develop sustainable, nature-based solutions for diverse projects across the U.S.

Tessa Artruc is a skilled engineer-in-training specializing in ecosystem restoration, floodplain management, fluvial geomorphology, and surface water hydrology, bringing over three years of dedicated experience to her field. Tessa holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. in Water Resources Engineering from Oregon State University.

Tessa has contributed her expertise to multi-disciplinary teams across the United States, focusing on riverine and coastal sites. Her comprehensive involvement spans the entire project lifecycle, encompassing site reconnaissance, concept design, construction documentation, implementation, and post-implementation monitoring. Tessa’s diverse project experience includes providing both broad-scale design guidance for federal and city entities and crafting site-specific solutions for critical issues like fish passage and flood protection.

At the heart of Tessa’s work are nature-based solutions, which she champions in her work with rural communities, indigenous groups, federal agencies, and stewardship organizations. Her approach not only addresses environmental and infrastructural challenges but also promotes sustainable interaction between communities and their natural surroundings.
