Dr. Sophia Zanakos

Sophia Zanakos is a principal in ICF's survey research business with over 20 years of experience in evaluation and data collection in behavioral health and public health topics. For federal, state, and local clients, she has conducted research in the areas of mental health and quality of life, adolescent risk behavior surveillance, traumatic brain injury and veterans’ issues. Her experience encompasses many areas of research design, implementation, and reporting using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Dr. Zanakos currently serves as the project director for the Garrett Lee Smith National Outcomes Evaluation which expands and documents the implementation, outcomes, and impacts of SAMHSA’s GLS youth suicide prevention program.
