Derrick (PMP) is a program delivery business leader and disaster management expert with over 20 years of experience.

Derrick is a disaster management expert and program delivery business leader with experience serving public, commercial, and industrial clients across the United States and abroad. He has over 20 years of experience managing large federally funded programs with a focus on projects related to community development, emergency repair, community mitigation, housing, and infrastructure.

Since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Derrick has supported nearly every major U.S. disaster recovery program. This includes the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery housing programs, Road Home Program, North Carolina Statewide Telepsychiatry Program, U.S. Virgin Islands Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power Program, Puerto Rico City Revitalization Program, and the Puerto Rico Home Repair, Reconstruction, or Relocation Program.

Derrick has extensive experience managing profit and loss centers and excels at operational management. He uses this expertise to help state and local governments successfully manage funding and complete major disaster recovery and mitigation projects.

Derrick is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Governors University.
