Travis Michalke has 17 years of experience in building science, sustainable buildings, energy efficiency, modeling, analytics, and policy development. He has practical experience supporting commercial programs, performing building assessments, and designing building systems and has a working knowledge of building codes. He also has extensive experience in commercial buildings and in leading analysis, development, and design of energy projects.
Mr. Michalke has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a registered professional engineer, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional, certified energy manager, certified energy auditor, certified demand side manager, and green building engineer.
Mr. Michalke served on his community's boards-and-commissions as an appointed member to the City of Falls Church Environmental Services Committee. He also held the position of vice-chair and executive liaison to the Energy Efficiency and Climate Change subcommittee.
