Derina Man

Senior Managing Consultant, Climate Planning
Derina supports governments and clients from around the world on addressing greenhouse gas emissions, developing human capacity, and planning for a low-emissions future.

Derina has spent the past decade working with government and commercial clients on some of the world’s most challenging environmental issues. She is a subject matter expert on the Paris Agreement and manages a portfolio of work that includes designing long-term and low-emission development strategies; greenhouse gas accounting and analyses; capacity development and training design; agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation analyses; supporting the phasedown of fluorinated gases; and climate communications.

Derina is a leading member of our international climate practice, having advised governmental agencies for various countries, including Colombia, Fiji, Indonesia, Peru, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam. She has also advised various donors, including U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S., Environmental Protection Agency, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and UK Department of Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy. Derina regularly represents us at various international conferences and events, including the Conference of the Parties.

One of Derina’s specialties is leveraging technology and design to improve processes or better communicate information. She has managed the development of data platforms for greenhouse gas accounting, web applications for public outreach, the creation of evergreen infographics for public outreach, and the effective transition of international capacity development programs to a virtual format.
