Susan Heinrich
Consultant, Transportation and Smart Mobility

Susan Heinrich has more than 16 years of experience in sustainable transportation, working on projects at local, regional, and state levels, including congestion management, climate initiatives and policies, 511 transportation information systems, and transportation demand management. Ms. Heinrich works on the New York State Department of Transportation (NYDOT) 511/transportation demand management (TDM) project, including development of a program performance plan. Other recent projects include several in the San Francisco Bay area, including the development and implementation of a regional commuter benefits regulation, an evaluation of the impact of a new bridge toll on carpoolers, and a strategic evaluation of a rideshare program. In addition, Ms. Heinrich has provided ongoing support for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) feasibility studies for the expansion of real-time ridesharing.

Previously, Ms. Heinrich managed the San Francisco Bay Area’s Regional Rideshare Program for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for 10 years. In 2012, she was selected as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” TDM Professionals in the world by the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT).
