Joy Fishel is a public health, survey, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist with experience designing and reporting on indicators and M&E plans at national and program levels. As HIV coordinator for the MEASURE Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) project, she provides technical leadership and program management for the project's HIV portfolio. She has experience in data collection methods for population-based surveys, including biomarker testing (HIV, anemia, and vitamin A deficiency), health facility surveys, and routine program monitoring. She is a member of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS Monitoring and Evaluation Reference Group.
Ms. Fishel has an M.P.H. from the University of North Carolina.
