Accountable Care Organization (ACO) for a Fortune 500 Payer

ICF Healthcare Case Study

May 10, 2016

At ICF, clients’ goals become our lens for viewing each project, and challenges are the hurdles we face head-on together. Our consultants have deep institutional and industry knowledge to support healthcare organizations--from the local to the national level--manage large IT and operational change and realize their most ambitious strategic vision.

This ICF case study illustrates our experience with developing successful, collaborative care coordination and delivery models for clients. The client turned to the ICF team to develop a new accountable care organization (ACO) program to facilitate partnerships with well-established medical groups that had extensive clinical resources in the California market. The company was challenged by the design, planning, and execution of a collaborative care delivery model that accounted for the clinical, operational, and technical capabilities of multiple partnership entities.
