In 2025, Texas passed House Bill 500, which allocates over $1B in state funding for public entities across Texas to fund water supply and water infrastructure projects. But the program is moving at breakneck speed: Applications for this one-time opportunity are due July 2026, and all funding must be committed and closed by August 1, 2027.

Watch the video of our experts for a detailed overview of the program for municipalities, public utilities, river authorities, and other public entities in Texas.

You’ll learn about:

  • The timeline and application process for the Water Supply and Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program.
  • Available funding under the program and how the reimbursement process will work.
  • Requirements for recipients and project types, and the scoring criteria used to determine awards.

We hope you can watch the video for this timely discussion on a one-time funding opportunity for Texas communities.
