In the wake of storms like Hurricane Helene, North Carolina communities face a complex mix of funding, infrastructure, and service delivery challenges as they rebuild and recover. ICF is bringing together state, local, and federal leaders in Durham to explore how stronger coordination and effective use of available funding can support long-term disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, and resilience across the state.

The goal of this convening is to create space for participants to exchange perspectives, identify shared challenges, and discuss opportunities for regional collaboration across jurisdictions.

Discussion topics include:

  • How to leverage available funding sources to support long-term disaster recovery.
  • How to identify and capitalize on funding opportunities for resilience and hazard mitigation.
  • How to strengthen coordination across local, state, and federal agencies to streamline funding pathways.
  • How to address infrastructure and service vulnerabilities exposed by recent storms.

This event is private, invite-only, and will operate under The Chatham House Rule to promote a candid and productive conversation.
