Calvin is a senior biologist with a variety of marine and aquatic biological expertise.

Calvin is a senior biologist at our Richmond laboratory, with a variety of marine and aquatic biological expertise. He received his Master’s in Marine Biology from the Estuarine and Ocean Science Center at San Francisco State University and previously worked for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission.

Calvin works closely with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation on the Directed Outflow Project, coordinating efforts to evaluate abiotic and biotic components of endangered Delta Smelt habitat. He works with other Fish and Aquatic Sciences Team members, processing macro and micro zooplankton samples, assembling datasets, and producing papers.
