Investing in IT modernization

With billions spent annually on technology and a Presidential federal IT modernization vision laid out, government agencies face intense pressure to rethink their technology approach. The role of the federal CIO has transformed as they increasingly collaborate with agency leaders to deliver mission-critical technologies and services. Gone are the days of massive technology projects that take years to roll out. Agencies need adaptable, cost-effective technologies that give them the flexibility to quickly experiment, pilot, and adjust. The kind that help meet constantly evolving user expectations; keep sensitive data and systems secure; and ensure responsive, multi-channel access to services.

For years, ICF has built a strong portfolio of federal services around strategy, research, technical assistance, data analytics, technology, digital engagement, and more. But as the industry keeps changing, we keep changing too. All in an effort to ensure we bring new value to federal programs that are increasingly viewed through a tech lens.

Today we are making a big investment in this very model. We have announced the intent to acquire Incentive Technology Group, a leading digital transformation service provider with a focus on U.S. federal IT modernization. This is the latest step in delivering on our steady, consistent strategy of increasing the depth and breadth of our capabilities to ensure our services best align with our clients’ evolving needs.

Why ITG?

ITG works with agencies to adopt and implement cloud-based, agile environments using platform technologies. Their approach gives agencies the flexibility to experiment, pilot, and adjust with less risk. The ITG team represents the best-of-the-best in digital transformation having successfully consolidated, modernized and transformed some of the largest legacy systems in the government, including the HHS Inspector General’s operations platform, GSA’s government-wide procurement system, and FCC’s licensing and regulatory portfolios.

ITG is a 350+-person team based in Crystal City, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The second largest ServiceNow partner in the public sector, ITG was named ServiceNow’s 2019 “U.S. Federal Partner of the Year” and is the largest Appian federal practice in North America. Their large, growing team of certified developers regularly—and successfully—implements platform solutions for federal programs, maintaining a 100% client retention rate.

When you pair ITG’s digital chops with ICF’s strategic consulting, analytics and deep domain expertise, we become the exact type of partner agencies need right now to get them farther, faster and at scale. Together, we will offer a unique, end-to-end portfolio of services—from strategy to analytics to platforms to agile delivery—that helps agencies meet their missions.

I’m looking forward to sharing more with you as we work together to help deliver successful outcomes for government leaders.
