John Wasson serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of ICF, where he manages the company’s client facing operating groups and corporate business development function on a day-to-day basis. In that capacity, he is responsible for ICF’s client delivery and satisfaction, business development, staff recruitment and development, and acquisition integration.
John has been with ICF since 1987. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2003 and President in 2010. Throughout his consulting career at ICF he has focused on providing advisory and implementation services to clients in the areas of energy, environment, public health and disaster recovery.
John received his Master of Science degree from the Technology and Policy Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 1984. He was awarded the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Medal for Business Achievement from the College of Engineering at U.C. Davis and is also Chair of the Dean’s Executive Committee for the College of Engineering. John also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Flint Hill School, an independent day school for grades JK-12 in the Washington D.C. area.
