Robyn Cenizal

Director, Family Strengthening
Robyn is a family strengthening expert with more than 35 years of experience providing capacity building training and technical assistance to governmental, faith, and community-based organizations.

Robyn has served as the project director for the National Resource Center for Healthy Marriage and Families since 2011. She developed a structured curriculum and facilitated state-level training in all 50 states. The curriculum educates social service providers on the long-term effects of toxic stress and adverse childhood experiences. It offers strategies for mitigating these effects through the integration of healthy relationship education into safety-net services.

Previously, Robyn directed the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Faith-based and Community Organizations Collaboration Initiative. This multi-year research to practice project focused on developing and strengthening public-private partnerships to build the capacity of state and tribal TANF agencies.

Robyn also has more than 26 years of local government experience specializing in strategic public-private partnerships to mitigate community distress. She has broad expertise with family strengthening, child welfare, workforce development, violence prevention, offender re-entry, and poverty reduction.

Robyn has presented at more than 75 conferences throughout the country and hosted more than 30 webinars. She has authored numerous publications on promising practices associated with serving high-risk, low-resource, and culturally-diverse populations. She has a BS in Workforce Education and Development and is a nationally Certified Family Life Educator and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

"Helping agencies operationalize research-based solutions enables them to better serve our most vulnerable populations."
