Ramu Bishwakarma is a social development specialist with more than nine years of experience in international development. He provides business development support, project management support, and technical expertise on research and impact evaluation projects in health and international development. He has implemented impact assessment and evaluation research, policy analysis, institutional analysis and capacity development programs, and social development projects.
Prior to joining ICF, Dr. Bishwakarma was a senior specialist at Cardno Emerging Markets, where he developed and managed new businesses, particularly in the areas of environment and social development, working with clients such as the World Bank (WB), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), national governments, and private companies in the extractive sector.
Dr. Bishwakarma has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in Sociology from the University of Arkansas, and an M.B.A. in Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
