At ICF, we work across the public/private spectrum to gather industry-leading insights that our clients count on to make informed decisions about the issues that impact their customers, constituents, communities, and the world. We join forces with other organizations to combine our expertise for recommendations and solutions that help our clients overcome challenges and achieve more.
A key example is the collaboration between ICF and the George Washington University (GW) to co-host a series of events that serves as, “a great model for how industry and academia can combine their strengths to resolve the interdisciplinary approach needed to meet today's challenges," according to Tom Russo, GW assistant vice president for industry research.
In the 5th event of the ICF/GW series, panel chair Dr. Lisa M. Guay-Woodford, a Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University and the Director of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National Medical Center, along with a panel of experts including Dr. Kevin Pelphrey, Dr. John Boyle, Dr. Glen Nowak, and Dr. Anjali Jain, discussed research methods around improving children’s health. At this event, panelists shared their backgrounds, ranging from autism, communications, pediatrics, surveillance, and survey research. The panel also discussed the underlying motivations behind immunizing children, national surveillance activities to track progress, and novel approaches to gather immunization data.
