Enrui Zhang

Enrui is an expert on energy policies and investment barriers for a low-carbon economy. He has drafted various world-class policies, including the G20 Energy Efficiency Leading Program and the G20 Energy Efficiency Investment Toolkit. These policies form global commitments to accelerate economic transition toward low-carbon societies.

From 2016 to 2018, Enrui was a Chinese representative on energy sustainability to the G20, International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation, and Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. He led the G20 Top Ten Best Available Technologies and Best Practices Task Group (TOP TENs), managing TOP TENs growth from zero to a flagship task group with eight countries. Enrui developed two TOP TENs international lists and organized knowledge-sharing events with industrial associations and business chambers to facilitate policy exchange and technology transfer. He also supported the development of the International Energy Efficiency Hub.

The China Council for an Energy Efficient Economy nominated Enrui for a Young Energy Specialist distinction. Enrui serves as a senior guest researcher of Green Finance Institute of Hainan Province.
