For the past 25 years, Madeline Nelson has supported federal transportation agencies in developing policy analyses, analyzing public comments, conducting economic analyses, and drafting documents.

She has worked on highway and aviation safety for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including hours of service rules, medical standards, and operational requirements. For the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) she has supported regulations and policy analyses on security issues related to airports, air cargo, general aviation, rail, trucking, hazardous materials movement (all modes), mass transit, and over the road buses. She has deep knowledge of transportation modes, industry structures, and data sources.
