Caryn McGarry

Chief Human Resources Officer
Caryn is an expert in human resources leadership with more than 20 years of experience.

Caryn McGarry serves as the chief human resources officer at ICF. She leads the development and implementation of the firm's global people strategy to foster engagement, retention, and growth to enable company expansion targets. Her focus includes evolving ICF's culture; optimizing diversity, equity, and inclusion, talent acquisition, talent management, and total rewards strategies; and building HR functional capability.

Caryn is the executive sponsor of ICF's Diverse Abilities Employee Community Network, highlighting her commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and empowers employees.

Prior to joining ICF in 2017, Caryn held HR leadership roles with USA Today Network, TASC, Verizon, and MCI. She has deep expertise in HR leadership from professional services, media, federal contracting, and telecommunications industries.

Caryn was named WashingtonExec's 2022 HR Executive of the Year (Public Company) and a WashingtonExec Top HR Exec to Watch in 2022 and 2023. She also served as the 2023 co-chair of the WashingtonExec Human Resources Council for HR leaders of small, emerging, and large companies.
