Sharepoint Administrator

One of ICF’s government clients, located in Bethesda, MD is seeking a talented program analyst who has excellent SharePoint and Excel skills to support their highly collaborative Information & Information Technology Office.  As a program analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of a variety of analytical and operational tasks.  The program analyst applies industry best practices/detailed knowledge to design an optimal solution that supports the business process and meets or exceeds the functional requirements as defined by the client.

This position requires onsite daily at our client location in Bethesda, Maryland.  However, based on the current pandemic, the position is remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • The client uses Microsoft SharePoint to meet, collaborate, and complete tasks.  As a result, relevant and useful SharePoint skills are needed across all operational task areas. Responsibilities include:
    • SharePoint Administration, including SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016.
    • Developing SharePoint solutions using existing web part configuration, SharePoint Designer, Power Apps, and workflows.
    • Web mark up, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Troubleshooting user related SharePoint issues (i.e., permissions, groups, webparts, site creation, etc.)
    • Maintaining and updating content on SharePoint to help expedite user adoption.
    • Maintaining and securing the platform and monitoring system usage to optimize performance.
    • Creating and troubleshooting web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, data management and other issues.
    • Training users and document processes.
    • Building new landing pages, newsletters, banners, and videos.
  • ICF supports the client by using Excel to automate their daily processes, conduct data analysis, and much more.  As a result, a high level of proficiency with Excel is required.  Senior Level/Excel Specialist/Excel Expert skillset/responsibilities include:
    • Advanced Charting
    • Functions
    • Advanced Formulae
    • Tool Bars
    • Conditional Formatting
    • PIVOT Tables & PIVOT Reporting
    • VBA & Macros
    • Data Tables, Simulations & solver

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years working in the Information Technology field
  • 3+ years’ experience using analytical skills
  • 3+ years’ experience using Excel
  • 3+ years’ experience with SharePoint Administration

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data
  • Experience with researching government and industry best practices
  • PMP preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience with NIH preferred, but not required

Professional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, resourceful, organized and work in a fast-paced business environment with special requests.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Must have SharePoint expertise building and/or maintaining collaboration sites and/or programs.
  • Be detail-oriented, organized, a fast learner, meticulous, and able to work at a fast pace with tight deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional collaboration and consensus building skills.
