Job Description

The Senior Training & Technical Assistance Specialist will perform a range of coordination, analytical, problem-solving and related work in support of various projects in the ICF Human Trafficking portfolio.  These job duties will include coordination with multiple federal grantees, responding to technical assistance requests, coordinating internal ICF processes to move the projects forward, organizing virtual and in-person grantee convenings, and supporting logistical and content-related tasks for grantees who work in victim services, human trafficking prevention, and law enforcement response to human trafficking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate between multiple stakeholders including grantee partners in the victim service, human trafficking prevention, and law enforcement sectors.
  • Oversee the Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) needs of federal grantee partners aimed at improving their support to survivors and programs and increasing and supporting human trafficking task forces. This includes assessing grantee’s needs, supporting development TTA plans, identifying consultants and peer liaisons, and developing meetings and convenings.
  • Support grantee TTA process from beginning to completion, including; conducting a thorough assessment of the requestor's needs, supporting collaboration, tracking and reviewing budgets, and tracking and documenting customized processes to ensure program objectives are met in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide logistical and content support for training events, conferences, focus groups and other meetings
  • Support the program managers with data analysis, report writing, and other project deliverables.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • The work requires substantial collaboration with a variety of federal agencies and grantee points of contact, as well as with various members of the HT field.
  • Display decisiveness, diplomacy and sound judgment in resolving difficult problems in work assignments, which are often of a complex and sensitive nature. Display sensitivity to the confidential nature of work in the Human Trafficking field.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Health, Public Relations, Communication or related discipline
  • 5+ years previous work experience related to human trafficking and/or in a TTA capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anti-human trafficking efforts with individuals at risk of human trafficking in the United States
  • Understanding of the pace and expectation of working in a client-service oriented environment and familiarity with government structure and government agencies
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong proofreading skills with careful attention to detail
  • Experience in coordination and support of training and technical assistance
  • Knowledge of the general nature of the human trafficking victim service, prevention, and law enforcement collaboration 
  • Experience with remote and web based learning
  • Experience with meeting and conference logistics  
  • Prior consulting experience with other professional services firms who have a substantial track record to serving public sector agencies

  • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, demonstrated highly professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work with various levels of internal staff, as well as clients, grantees, and vendors required 
  • Ability to work autonomously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create and manage timelines and collaborate with the team to complete a project deliverable
