Continuous Monitoring Support Analyst
ICF is seeking an experienced Continuous Monitoring Support Analyst to support activities associated with CSSP Continuous Monitoring in accordance with the federal agency guidelines.. The contractor will support the creation and modification of SOPs, reports, written guidance, and policy are reviewed and approved by the government.
Ensure USCYBERCOM warning and tactical directives/orders (e.g., Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), or Network Defense Tasking Messages (NDTMs) are available to the lowest level Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) (i.e., Information Assurance Managers (IAMs)), Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) (i.e., Information Assurance Officers (IAOs)), and system administrators
Ensure compliance with all USCYBERCOM/JFHQ-DODIN/subscriber directed actions
Monitor compliance and overall status for assets under their control and ensure compliance is reported IAW subscriber reporting guidance
Approve and submit IAW JFHQ-DODIN guidance and timelines an initial or updated IT Security Plans of Action and Milestone (POA&M) for Information Systems (IS) with mitigation actions if unable to comply with directed action
Provide recommendations to the Authorizing Official regarding mitigation options such as blocking or disconnecting network access from/to the affected assets
Promote continuous process improvements
Ensure Enterprise Services capabilities are employed to mitigate, monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to risk prone devices and enclaves subscriber networks
Assist the agency CSSP with establishing procedures to implement and conduct continuous monitoring vulnerability assessments, evaluations and validation as needed for Cybersecurity scorecard reporting and mission relevant cyber terrain
Enable coordination between continuous monitoring efforts and cyber defense related activities to affect positive cyber security practices
Participate in program reviews and onsite certification evaluations
Coordinate with Incident Response and Infrastructure Support staff to meet CSSP requirements
- 5+ years relevant IT experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Security clearance required - DOD preferred
- An advanced understanding of current threats and trends present in the Information Security and Technology field
- Advanced knowledge of network and systems technologies and security protocols
- Strong initiative and a personal interest in Information Technology Security
- People skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients with the ability to explain and elaborate on technical details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
