Job Description

  • The Health, Environment, Analytics, Resilience, and Social policy (HEARS) group works to improve the conditions of America's most at-risk populations-reaching out directly to the populations in need, as well as providing strategic consulting support to human services agencies throughout the United States.
  • The Workforce Innovations and Poverty Solutions (WIPS) Team provides rigorous research, evaluation and technical assistance to address a diverse set of critical social issue areas including employment and workforce programs, poverty solutions, fatherhood and family support initiatives, and interventions for families in at-risk situations.

  • We are seeking a project management coordinator for a large workforce development contract working with Transitioning Service Members (TSMs) to provide key project support to the Project Management and other leadership team members. We want you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key organizational manager of documents, trackers, schedules, invoices, deliverables, and other project information for this project using Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams;
  • Serve as backbone of project maintaining quality control, consistency,
  • Provide administrative support around meeting scheduling (internal, clients, and subcontractors); documenting client and internal meetings; and serving
  • Track and manage subcontractor and consultant invoices, approval forms, financials, and other performance metrics
  • Draft professional project management reports and communications including progress reports, meeting summaries, email communications, and internal project updates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, economics, finance, or a relevant social field
  • At least 3-5 years documented experience providing comprehensive project management support
  • 3 plus years of experience working with multiple departments (finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, facilities, IT, etc.) and external clients and subcontractors
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and leadership needs in an efficient and expeditious manner
  • Strong proficiency in Sharepoint, Excel, and Powerpoint, and other Project Management software or tools
  • Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management credential (CAPM), PMP training, or other PM training

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal project leadership staff and
  • Demonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative
  • Demonstrated experience balancing and prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while effectively prioritizing and executing tasks while under pressure
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
