We are looking for a Project Management Analyst to assist with project control for our IT PMO team that supports a large, business analysis and management support services contract. This position will work on client site in Arlington, VA.    

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting the Program Management Office support of a large scale IT project of 50+ contractors including conducting onboarding activities, documenting project status, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining overall project health
  • Provide support to the Program Managers required to maintain cost, schedule, and quality of the products and services delivered
  • Tracks weekly and monthly reporting requirements using MS PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint and Project Server
  • Participates in the control of costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system
  • Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Participates in the preparation of budgets and analyses such as funding profiles, forecasting, and variance analysis
  •  Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
  • Supports customer and executive level meetings across divisional lines with scheduling, developing agendas and reporting meeting activities

What you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2 years of overall program support experience
  • 1+ years of experience in developing and implementing project management processes, techniques, artifacts and tools related to cost and schedule management, documentation/data management, performance management—identification, collection, and analysis of program management performance indicators/metrics
  • 1+ years of experience to summarizing complex performance indicators with text and/or graphical representations to provide information for management decision-making
  • 1+ year of experience with the following:  - Meeting facilitation - Microsoft Office suite of products – advanced Excel skills including macros and pivot tables - Microsoft Project - Microsoft SharePoint - Microsoft Visio Professional, Project Server
  • U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position)
