ICF seeks a Project Manager to join our growing federal consulting team. This role will work directly with our federal customers to implement best practices in government to make a difference in the lives of real people. Strong engagement and communications skills are required and experience working within Federal agencies (CIO/CTO) is highly desired.
The PM will support a 5-person Data Analytics (DA) team whose mission is to understand where data lives and make it accessible to decision makers at the highest levels. While the primary team is full-time onsite, it is expected that the Project Manager will require approximately 3 days a week at the client site in Washington, DC. Additional travel may be required to other customer sites locally and across the country but not more than 10% travel is expected.
The Project Manager will be responsible for communication with Senior Client Leaders and staff, providing regular progress/status updates, develop visualization materials to depict trends and show data supplied by the team. The Project Manager will play a significant role in the development of recommendations, schedules, budgets and other proposal-support materials. Previous experience writing and responding to federal contracts and proposals is highly desired.
Specific expertise in data analysis is not required, but familiarity and experience working on similar projects or with common business intelligence/analytics/visualization tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Google Analytics or Power BI, is a plus. The team is currently working with Tableau for dashboarding, but the mission of the team is to implement best practices for data analytics in a software agnostic way. Experience managing fixed price contracts using Agile Methodologies is strongly preferred and strong project financials tracking is essential. The Project Manager must ensure that all project goals and timelines are met according to specifications and business objectives.
- 10+ years professional experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working in traditional and Agile PM Methodologies
- Business requirements gathering, excellent analytical and documentation skills
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)
- Experience with proposing new projects, including proposals, statements of work, estimating level of effort
- Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required
- PMP/CSM certification
- Knowledge of Trello, Google Docs, Tableau a plus (usage based on customer environment)
- Experience working with data analytics teams/tools/techniques is desired
