What you'll get to do:

Deeply involved in the performance of assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Achieves this through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments). Deeply involved in the establishment of strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. Assists in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6/3), and makes recommendations on process tailoring. Deeply involved in the performance of analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommends additional security requirements and safeguards. Supports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Periodically conducts of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.

Performance Objectives:

Role Specific Work

  • Understand relationship between business goals and audit objectives. Manage the audit framework and report on compliance.
  • Develop continuous improvement intitiatives to continue to drive audit efficiency, compliance and automation of artifact collection.
  • Continuous improvement of audit platform design and system.
  • Work with various teams to streamline requests and workflows
  • Ensure process and artifacts align with audit requirements 
  • Develop skill used to improve on the overall audit process.
  • Develop and maintain audit frameworks and artifacts library.
  • Evangelize and represent intended purpose of audits with both leadership and clients.
  • Help analyze gaps in current process and potential new audit frameworks
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure efficient audit cycles. 
  • Stay current with changes in audit frameworks as they pertain to our commitments 

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Auditing or Quailty System Management
  • Experience with at least some or all of the following audits
  • SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, CSAE3416, SSAE-16/18, FDA, HiTrust, FedRamp, ISO 
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GRC Systems or other Compliance based systems
  • Comfort with Agile and ITIL based delivery
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General Ccomputer knowledge including the MS Office Suite, VPN and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • College degree or equivelant experience
  • Must be flexible enough to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times a year

Complexity

Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.

Discretion

Works under readily available supervision. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.  Follows well established policies and procedures. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.

Interaction

Interacts with functional peers within the immediate organization, as well as clients or vendors; sometimes with guidance from others.  Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual, but somewhat varied and complex information.
