Providing evidence-based support

We offer evidence-based, capacity-building K-12 consulting designed to assist education agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Working in lock-step with clients, we help develop communities of practice, briefs and toolkits, webinars, and convenings, and provide technical assistance that improves schools and strengthens the effectiveness of teachers and administrators. Our teams have supported educators in states such as Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Delivering rigorous program evaluations

Employing advanced research and emerging data analytic techniques (including experimental designs, statistical modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence), we deliver high-quality and rigorous K-12 consulting research with the power to inform policy and program improvement. We’ve served as an external evaluator for numerous highly visible efforts, including Investing in Innovation (i3), Education Innovation Research (EIR) grants, and the Gaining Early Awareness and the Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) initiative.

Generating holistic, interdisciplinary solutions

We help generate holistic, interdisciplinary solutions to complex problems in the K-12 sphere. Working with survey and public health specialists, we have overseen the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) for decades, administering the system at state and local levels and among special school populations. Working with data scientists, we identify and manage agency risk in programs and products. Risk models, profiles, and scoring are just a few of our many development methods for K-12 consulting.
