John Venezia

Principal, Climate, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation

John Venezia has 17 years of experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development, designing GHG estimation and reporting guidelines, and analyzing the costs and reduction potential of GHG mitigation strategies.

Mr. Venezia manages several large projects, including support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to build capacity in developing countries for sustainable GHG inventory development; work for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to develop and deploy the Clean Energy Emission Reduction (CLEER) calculators and guidance to assess GHG impacts of clean energy projects around the world; and the climate change analysis in the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Phase 2 fuel efficiency standards for new medium and heavy duty trucks.

Mr. Venezia has an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
