Kevin Palaia is a licensed Professional Geologist with 20 years of technical and regulatory support experience. He leads the Environmental Services portfolio within the Regulatory, Economics, Environmental, and Energy Services (R3E) LOB, which focuses on the development and implementation of environment, energy, and public health programs at the headquarters mission-support level down to the site/facility level. Kevin’s areas of expertise include contaminated site characterization and cleanup; brownfields revitalization; liability assessment associated with mergers and acquisitions; and environmental training. He also supports projects related to medical marijuana /cannabis program implementation, renewable energy, offshore energy development, and environmental impact assessment. His key clients have included EPA’s Office of Brownfield and Land Revitalization (OBLR), EPA’s Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI), DOI’s Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), U.S. Army, several Massachusetts state agencies (Dept. of Public Health, Dept. of Energy Resources, and Dept. of Environmental Protection), and law firms. Kevin holds a M.S. in Hydrology from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. in Environmental Geology and Biology from Northeastern University.
