Cathy Lesesne

Dr. Cathy Lesesne

Technical Director

Catherine Lesesne has more than 16 years of public health experience directing U.S. federal programs and evaluation. She leads evaluation of policy-level interventions to prevent childhood obesity and child maltreatment, evaluates multiple adolescent and school health initiatives in districts across the country, and directs research and evaluation initiatives across other public health topics. She is an experienced community psychologist in applied research methods, including development and testing of evaluation capacity-building tools, adaptation guidance, and dissemination of evidence-based public health interventions.

Prior to joining ICF, Dr. Lesesne was a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she served as an expert in community-based research, translation and dissemination research, capacity-building training and technical assistance, empowerment evaluation, and adolescent sexual health.

Dr. Lesesne has authored more than 20 articles, and she is frequently published in peer-reviewed journals such as Preventing Chronic Disease Journal, Pediatrics Journal, and American Journal of Community Psychology.
