Andrew LaVanway leads ICF’s marketing business in the public sector and regulated industries. Working in healthcare, government, and technology for nearly 20 years, he has led a broad array of multipart, multi-year campaigns in both public and commercial markets. Mr. LaVanway specializes in complex media/community relations, digital engagement, brand development, and data analytics in the marketing context.

Prior to joining ICF, LaVanway led a boutique government and healthcare marketing agency in Metro Washington, DC. He previously worked as Associate Staff for the House Appropriations Committee (Subcommittee on Defense), Legislative Director for Representative Jay Dickey, and Senior Legislative Assistant for Representative Curt Weldon. From 2001 to 2003, he was a trainer in parliamentary operations for the International Republican Institute, notably proposing and then facilitating the first open parliamentary committee hearings in Mongolian history.

LaVanway holds an MBA from the Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BA in economics from Gettysburg College. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Public Manager, is past Chairman for the Alexandria Public Health Advisory Commission, and is a certified firefighter.
