Dr. Janet Griffith

Senior Fellow

Dr. Janet Griffith has over three decades of experience in research and evaluation. She has extensive experience leading research and evaluation projects related to topics of victimization, children/youth, training and technical assistance (TTA) provision, and implementation and evaluation of systems of care. Dr. Griffith currently leads and advises multiple projects related to child victimization, support for child welfare system change, and innovative grant making strategies to provide support for communities.

Dr. Griffith joined Caliber Associates (now ICF) in 1998; before that, she was on the staff of Research Triangle Institute (RTI) for two decades and also has taught sociology at the university level. She holds a PhD in sociology/demography. Her past work has included research and evaluation on domestic violence and child maltreatment interventions, juvenile justice, child welfare, education, family demography, welfare reform, community policing, and systems of care for vulnerable youth and other system change initiatives. She also serves as the chair of ICF’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), charged with ensuring the protection of human subjects in research.
