Sharon Douglas

Sharon Douglas has more than 28 years of experience in the development and application of meteorological and air quality-modeling tools. She has served as principal investigator (PI) for more than 75 projects involving the combined application of meteorological models and urban- and regional-scale air quality models for regulatory assessment and planning purposes.

Ms. Douglas specializes in meteorological and air quality data analysis, regional-scale model application, model performance evaluation, ozone attainment demonstration, health impact assessment, visibility and deposition assessment, and air quality-modeling support for permit applications. She recently served as technical coordinator for an air quality modeling analysis that investigated environmental effects of switching heating fuels in the greater New York City area.

Ms. Douglas has an M.S. in Meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in Earth and Planetary Science from Johns Hopkins University. She is a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Community Modeling and Analysis System (CMAS) Advisory Board.
