Dr. Cristina de la Torre

Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

Cristina de la Torre has 12 years of experience providing research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) services. She has broad research and evaluation experience focusing on health in developing countries. Under MEASURE Evaluation, Dr. de la Torre also provides direct technical assistance to governments to build local capacity for monitoring and evaluating malaria and HIV programs. Her current projects include supporting Mali’s National Malaria Control Program to develop a health information system for malaria; strengthening the production of strategic information relating to HIV among most at-risk populations (MARP) in Thailand; and helping develop a toolkit for referrals monitoring. Dr. de la Torre has worked in Guatemala, Kenya, Mali, Malawi, Mexico, Peru, and Thailand.

Dr. de la Torre has a doctorate of science degree in Reproductive Health and Demography from Harvard University, an M.P.H. in Program Evaluation and International Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
