Karen Crawford

Senior Manager

Karen Crawford is a senior cultural resources project/program manager with 19 years of experience in environmental consulting. Karen is a Registered Professional Archaeologist and meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Qualifications in archaeology. She has overseen projects throughout the western United States that involve cultural resources technical studies, mitigation design and implementation, and the preparation of documentation to meet the requirements of Section 106 of NHPA, NEPA, and CEQA. 

Karen frequently assists agencies by coordinating SHPO consultation, Section 106 documentation, outreach to interested parties under CEQA, and she has coordinated tribal input and participation with dozens of tribes. Karen has comprehensive field experience and has written numerous cultural resources research designs, technical reports, findings of effect, consultation and agreement documents, and mitigation and monitoring plans. She frequently serves as an expert third party cultural resources reviewer, ensuring technical studies and recommendations meet federal, state and local agency compliance requirements.
