Mr. Chandra has 25+ years of global experience spanning renewable energy, infrastructure, and environmental science and technology. He has spent 10 years in the clean energy industry, working with solar, hydro, and other renewable electricity projects internationally. At ICF, Mr. Chandra provides subject matter expertise for renewable energy projects and clean energy development efforts.
A well-rounded technical and management professional, Mr. Chandra has performed and led scientific and technical studies, technology-specific market analysis, economic analysis, and global strategy development. He has development of solar projects, managed construction of utility-scale solar plants, designed and constructed off-grid systems, and led global initiatives for implementing innovative forms of solar, off-grid micro-hydro, and smart grid technologies in developing countries and remote, under-served locations of Asia, Latin America and Northern Canada. He co-founded a solar energy firm to manufacture solar panels and to develop and install residential rooftop solar energy systems.
Mr. Chandra has served as Expert Reviewer for US Department of Energy’s SunShot Program, SBIR-STTR Program, Small Business Voucher Program, and for Bonneville Power Administration’s Technology Innovation Assistance Program. He has served as a Volunteer Mentor in CleanTech Open, advising and working with entrepreneur teams in their clean energy ventures.
Mr. Chandra has an MBA in International Business from George Washington University, an MS in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a BS in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
