Kate Brangaccio

Senior Communications Manager
Kate is a communications expert with more than 20 years of experience running marketing, outreach, and behavior change campaigns in transportation, mobility, energy efficiency, and sustainable commute options.

Kate has served in senior marketing lead roles for several high profile public sector transportation initiatives, including New York State Department of Transportation’s (DOT) 511NY Rideshare and Clean Air NY programs, the Wyoming DOT’s Connected Vehicle Pilot, the Federal Highway Administration’s Public Roads Magazine, and the NYSERDA Transportation Innovation program. She has also developed marketing strategies to promote electric vehicle adoption for Santa Clara County, California and the Los Angeles metro area.

Kate led an award-winning marketing campaign for the New York City (NYC) Retrofit Accelerator, an energy efficiency program of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, to promote adoption of energy upgrades to city buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The program’s advertising and design won two American Advertising Awards for their creativity and innovation. Kate started her career in public transportation, spending 12 years with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority in their corporate communications and government relations group, and four years as vice president of corporate affairs at TransitChek, the nation’s leading transportation tax benefit provider.
