Shawna Barry has ten years of professional experience in the environmental field, specializing in conservation planning and environmental impact analysis. She is currently working with the states of Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin to develop the Lakes States Forest Management Bat Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and the state of Pennsylvania to develop the Forestry HCP for Bats on Pennsylvania State Game Lands, State Forests, and State Parks.
Prior to joining ICF, Shawna supported the Pennsylvania Field Office of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), where she supported the office in a variety of field projects to assess habitat quality for the federally-protected bog turtle and screened project submittals for impacts to listed species.
Shawna also has extensive experience in NEPA compliance, including six years as deputy project manager for the revision of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s agency-wide NEPA-implementing Order, FAA Order 1050.1. Shawna's clients include the states of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and federal agencies such as the FAA, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Surface Transportation Board.
