Impacts of Climate Change and Variability on Transportation Systems and Infrastructure

Gulf Coast Study, Phase 2

CLIENT: U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)

ICF led this in-depth analysis of climate vulnerabilities in all modes of transportation to a full suite of climate-related hazards. Exposure assessments featured state-of-the-art climate model outputs and cutting-edge storm surge modeling techniques combined with high-resolution transportation information in a geographic information systems (GIS) framework.

ICF developed transferable best practices for screening and assessing vulnerability of transportation assets and services to climate change and extreme weather such as in-depth interviews, stakeholder engagements, and engineering studies.
