ICF International is sponsoring the Infrastructure Resilience and Mission Assurance for National Security forum, hosted by George Washington University's Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and organized by the Infrastructure Security Partnership—a council of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). The forum will focus on federal policy, critical infrastructure interdependencies, the role of regional coalitions and industry partnerships, as well as the imperative for government/ private sector and civil/military collaboration in assessing risks and shared efforts to mitigate the likely consequences.
Panelists will consider the military's dependence on the nation's electrical sector, the implications of a growing cybersecurity threat, and the U.S. Department of Energy's work with industry on behalf of its interagency partners in the interest of national security and resilience. Participating senior government leaders include: Patricia Hoffman, Assistant Secretary, Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, U.S. Department of Energy; Charles Kosak, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Defense Continuity and Mission Assurance, U.S. Department of Defense; and Robert Kolasky, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Infrastructure Protection, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
