Sandra Toner is a Certified Technical Trainer (CompTIA CTT+) who teaches about software, cyber security, and information assurance. She is a cyber risk management specialist and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as well as a graduate certificate in Open-source Intelligence Analysis.
Sandra earned a master's degree in Leadership in Teaching with a concentration in Technology. She is a Sr. Technical Specialist with ICF International, where she manages all aspects of cyberphysical risk management. In addition to project management, she provides consulting in cyberphysical risk identification and automation of the mitigation workflow. She has been called upon to provide expertise on cyber risk for critical infrastructure and can manage unique implementations of governance, risk, and compliance standards. Sandra is well-versed in cybersecurity and privacy specific directives.
Sandra provides consulting on cyberphysical best practices and interprets security guidelines, industry specific policy, and layered requirements for internal and customer stakeholders. She facilitates webinars and creates materials of instruction (MOI) for Federal Information Assurance and Cyber Risk programs. Since 2000, she has delivered instruction in post-secondary education, facilitated computer security and compliance training for the federal government, and provided training for technical platforms and proprietary software. She is a member of a number of security and cyber risk related professional communities and likes to be involved at the ground level by participating in government and industry working groups.
