Marcy is a national homelessness expert with nearly 20 years of experience leading efforts to prevent and end homelessness.

Marcy is a national homelessness expert with nearly 20 years of experience serving as a direct services provider and working for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to curb homelessness. Since joining our team in 2017, she has worked overseeing homeless services and supporting HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs.

Marcy has extensive professional experience in HUD’s homeless assistance grants programs, including the Continuum of Care, Emergency Solutions Grants Program, and the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program. She is an expert on topics including chronic homelessness, coordinated entry, and housing problem-solving.

Throughout her career, Marcy has worked collaboratively on national efforts aimed at preventing and ending homelessness. During her time at HUD, Marcy was instrumental in the development of federal policy and regulation that sought to codify national best practices regarding the unhoused. Marcy now leads a diverse team of more than 20 individuals from around the country, providing equity-centered technical assistance and capacity-building support to communities and organizations to strengthen and improve their homelessness response efforts.

Marcy received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
